ABOUT

Of The Sea is the production company of Mal McDowall, Seattle Artist and Audio Engineer. Born and raised in the city of the sea, the water has always been an important aspect to Mal's approach to all things artistic. Of The Sea was created to provide clients with natural and authentic sounds that breathe life into their artistic endeavours whilst remaining true to the original state of what is being created.

Having been active in the Seattle music scene since 2013, Mal has been recording and producing their own projects since the humble beginning. With this experience, the Shoreline Community College Music Technology Program was the next bastion for Mal. At Shoreline, the necessary knowledge was provided to allow for Mal's vision of pure and authentic sounds to be realized through several academic and personal projects.
